The story of Rudiments Collection: The collection was inspired by Gaetano Testolini’s 1818 botanical manual, “Rudiments of Drawing, Shadowing and Coloring Flowers in Watercolors,” recently rediscovered in the rare book vaults of the New York Botanical Garden.
